I was thinking along the same lines : substitute every 2 women with 1 man (occupying the space of said 2 women) and you're there.  lol

... and their backpacks.  >:(

... the fold war? D

Where's the raised eyebrows emoticon when you need it?  lol  I'm picturing the little known conflict between Brecon farmers and squaddies now.

Love them. I don't need these per se, but they look very easy to do headswaps and foot conversions to add boots/trainers to for other settings and will therefore see an order from me!

If the weapons aren't to be made available for commercial use, what about for personal use, i.e. as parts sprues?

Nice! Would like to see some variation in the heads so they all don't look like twins. How about some kaffias (or whatever the Islamic face wraps are called these days?) That way they could double as generic insurgents.

These are great!!   :o

Any chance that you might sculpt some Rangers and Delta for Mog scenarios?

Cheers

@ Axabrax- Am doing just that at the moment, same minis but with scarves covering their faces, plus with a little extra webbing/equipment. Btw, although you probabaly can't pick it up from the photos there are three different heads in this set.

Unlike in 'Blackhawk Down' most photos of Somali gunmen seem to show them with bare heads, NOT wearing baseball caps and hoodies, so I definitely wanted the first set to all have bare heads.

@Sgt McNab- I'm afraid not just yet. The Somalis were not on my radar as a set to sculpt but a number of Eureka customers requested them so I decided to make this set, but Rangers and
Delta could be quite a ways off.

That's pretty much what I've seen. Where Kufiyyat are worn (usually Al-Shabaab and friends), they are all worn in a certain way, with little variation within a group (usually over the forehead, mouth and nose and tight) and everyone in the group has one on, mostly in the same colour/pattern. The remainder of average Somalis seem to be largely bareheaded, with perhaps one in ten or so with either a; benny, beanie, boonie, or baseball cap etc., if that.

Got these finished and dropped off at Eureka today. There is also a 2-man Dshka crew, but the photos were crap so I haven't put them up on the blog.
