Abney Park Miniatures
« on: 09 April 2013, 03:28:30 AM »
For any of you who are familiar with the steampunk band, Abney Park. They're going to release miniatures for use with their roleplaying and board game soon. http://www.facebook.com/CaptianRobert/posts/10151596876045152

Not sure what scale.

They look to be 28-ish. I really look forward to them!

There's a band with their own RPG and miniatures?

What crazy world is this that I live in?  o_o

Sweet, Abney Park is pretty cool. I may have to get the miniatures when they come out.

I just finished my campain of Airship Pirates. The system is pretty cool, dirt simple, and theres alot of wonky bits. But its fun. The setting is pretty meh though.

The minis are being made by Rafm, so I guess that means 'small 28s', but we shall wait and see. I will probably get them, as I like Abney Park's music and have a modelling project in mind if they are doing the complete band.

Abney Park's setting is a a mix of Victoriana and Mad Max post-Apocalypse, so expect the influences to be more steampunk than classic VSF. Not surprising really, since Abney Park are probably the most popular band on the American steampunk scene and very popular in Europe and the UK too.

Now all we need is for someone to produce minis for British steampunk acts like Professor Elemental and The Men :)

Wow! That's unusual, but hey, I like Abney Park!  :)

First 2 are on their way, I will post sizes when they arrive. Not likely to be small 28's more likely 30 to 35 but we shall see.
