I got Abney Park in a box ... oh, and Constance Bashford

Well, o my brothers and my sisters, my huge mancrush on Patrick Keith continues as I have in my hot little hands his sculpts of the steampunk band Abney Park. The minis from RAFM accompany the award-winning Airship Pirates game from Cubicle 7 based on the band's lyrics and fictional background and personas.

Every steampunk setting needs airship pirates, so they're about to become a crew in my IHMN world. I'll likely start with the "Shadwell Aeronautical" company list that TreeFrogBandit wrote: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=60965.0

Also in the line is a mini based on Cpt. Constance Bashford, a steampunk model and cosplay persona. I picked her up as well during RAFM's recent sale. Couldn't resist!

And speaking of Patrick Keith, this latest blogpost also notes that his newest kickstarter has fired off, for a new pulp(ish) sci-fi game and line of minis called Counterblast.

Ohh, very nice! The miniatures look spelendid. How are you  planning to paint them up? Do the bases as the deck of an airship, planks and spare parts all round! that'd be awesome

@Tordenskjold: I've been weighing that very subject. I'm thinking planking bases for most of them, maybe even a mix of planking with some diamond plate, but definitely a nice decorative one for Kristina Erickson and her Tesla keyboard, maybe a conversion of the base from Wyrd's 50mm Driftwood Docks base.



@Skrapwelder: I'm a newcomer to the whole steampunk music scene, so I missed Miss Veen's tenure with the band.
