WW1 German Artillery Horses at gallop?
« on: 18 June 2013, 05:48:21 AM »
In search of the perfect limbered horse artillery configuration, I settled on some Askari horses, guns, and limbers. Love the equipment, the horses are... hmm. Not so great. I will maybe even suggest that the WGF plastic horses have more definition. Seriously, I'm actually considering sculpting my own harnesses on WGF horses. Normally I wouldn't care, but these are for my Hinterland force and they're mounted on Ebob horses, which are true beauties.

So- does anyone make 28mm WW1 limber horses that are haulin' ass, galloping like the devil is chasing them? With either of the two main setups shown on this page? :

Thanks!!!

would LotR Rohirrim horses help? I have a few and they look generic - could need some work on the pull harness though

Thanks for the suggestion. I have a bunch of the Wargames Factory horses (the bare ones) already. They fit with the Hinterland horses pretty well and it would probably be just as easy to start from nothing.

I don't think Ebob sells bare horses unless you are licensing them for a commercial range, which would be my best conversion option.

If no one makes the correct horses, WGF is probably the route I'll go. At the very least I should try to convert one over to see how it goes.

Thanks!

Perry plastics? The tack would need adjusting though.
