Automaton Empire
« on: March 15, 2013, 12:24:23 AM »
The Automaton Ambassador and Imperial Legionnaires. I've posted the ambassador before, he's from Design 28 miniatures. The legionnaires are Parroom Station's Secret Science Manikin Automatons.

I like the look of the figures.
May I suggest a little more terrain on the bases.
That would really make them look sharp.

Thank you for your kind remarks Marine 0846. I agree that that my stands are basic. The reason is an utter lack of space resulting in rough and ready storage. It's easier for me to touch up chipped paint than reflock. I'm often in envy and awe of those on this forum that can transform a simple base into dioramas.

Neat Stuff
[Automaton Ambassador] what pack?
Does Design 28 have a web site I can't seem to find them.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Grey Ghost, I obtained the ambassador from Black Pyramid Gaming. He's in their Steel and Steam Line under the name Mycroft.

I know I am necroposting, but my participation here is spotty at best, and that means I miss some lovely stuff.

Like these automatons. I have ten mannikins that need painting (actually five are going onto the paint table very soon for reasons we can not advertise). But pairing them with the Mycroft mini as an automaton nation is a great idea. Do you have any fluff about them or more photos? It would be an interesting article for The Aethergraph.

Thanks for the kind words XCIV. I don't have any background on the Automaton Empire. The idea was based on Hunt's Court of the Air. In the book he describes a Steam Man Free State , I thought Automaton Empire was a better name. Congratulations on getting the Aethergraph flying again!
