VBCW Miniatures Guide update
« on: March 13, 2014, 02:14:20 PM »
Hi all,

I've finally got around to updating the VBCW Miniatures Guide - http://vbcwminisguide.blogspot.co.uk/, and tidied it up a bit.

A request...

I hope you like the VBCW Minis Guide and find it useful.

It takes quite a lot of effort, not only to keep up with new miniature releases suitable for VBCW, but also the acquisitions, mergers and sadly foldings of the many miniature manufacturers out there.

I try my best, but no doubt there are some links on the site that no longer work for some reason or other. So my request is this:-

Please let me know of any broken links!

Also if you believe that a company had folded, please also let me know, especially if their website is still up and running - I'd hate to think that someone had wasted their money on a discontinued product after clicking on a link from my site.

Thanks!

Excellent work, Jon although I could do without the temptations to increase the lead pile - i've got enough of that that I cast myself without buying other people's stuff.,,

Hi,

A huge piece of work indeed! Congratulations, it's one the the most comprehensive lists devoted to a single setting I've ever seen.

Just a request: might we Minairons Miniatures get included in that list? True that our stuff is not strictly related to VBCW, but to SCW and generic Inter-wars instead... but we believe some is suitable for this particular setting.

Besides, we're struggling for having our models at several scales alongside, and have cared to include VBCW markings in every decals sheet where this seemed feasible --there aren't that many companies making VBCW decals, I guess.

We've already launched 1/72 markings for BUF and Scottish Republic, for instance:

Other markings currently in the printshop do include Liverpool FS, Anglican League and generic bookmobile decals too. All them should be printed and ready before Summer start.

Thanks in advance,
Lluís

Hi Lluís,

Thanks! At the moment the website only covers 25/28mm figures, but if you were to make figures in that size your fine work would be in there like a shot!

What I will do though is give you a mention in the next update :)

Doug, Mr. Shed, thanks for your kind words too!

Having been bitten by the craze recently I am using your site to source my figures.  It is excellent so thanks very much for your hard work in putting it together and maintaining it.

As for missing links I can't seem to get through to the Amazon Miniatures site, either through your link or any others on the web.

Thanks - you'll note that I've mentioned on their entry that Amazon Miniatures has ceased trading - if the link is now broken then I'll take it down, so thanks for the heads up!
