My first go at VBCW vehicles (update 22/05/16)
« on: January 17, 2016, 04:32:13 PM »
My mate Simon asked me to sort these vehicles out for him and turn them from toy cars into wargame models. I've put together model kits before but these were the first "classic car" models I've dealt with.
The brief was to retain the original colour and markings and so I washed them, weathered them with dry brushing, and flattened the colours with Matt varnish. I also repainted the radiators and painted mud splashes on the sills. I think they turned out OK, hope you like them.
The bottom photo shows the original finish.

Hello,

realy nice vehicles, look good. Are they 20mm (1/76)? Perhaps Oxford?

No policemen on the painting table yet Fram, or did you want a photo with some 28mm figures in for size comparison? If that's what you want I'll sort that no problem :)

Yeah, anything would be fine! Copplestone for preference, but any major manufacturer is good if you don't have any Copplestone.

I'm used to Lledo being quite small (too small for me), but these seem a bit bigger, so I'm curious how the big Mack truck might look!
