28mm Fargo Miniatures
« on: May 24, 2014, 11:59:37 AM »
I'm currently watching the Fargo tv series (with Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman), the 1996 film is one of my favourites.

So I'm wondering if anyone makes 28mm US police in winter gear? Zombie ranges will give me enough for the civilians.

That was filmed here in Calgary and area. :) I laugh when I am watching it, the wife pauses it as we figure where the locations are! I think some people I work with who do extras work are in it.

Sorry no idea on your police. You will want Minnesota American style police though. You betcha!

Apologies, images for those that haven't seen it:

Thanks for the link gimzod, the issue is that it's a police uniform under the ski jacket, boots and woolly hat. Finding a non-US city police miniature is hard. Reaper do a pair of state troopers (with campaign hats), but no one sees a need (yet!).

I guess it'll have to be a conversion job with Soviet winter troops of some sort.

Not sure if this helps, but Tiger Miniatures do some Mounties in Winter gear:

It does, as I've got alternative search terms to try. I like these (second guy is a strong almost, but coat is too long):

I want to set this game in the 1990s - 2000s, but these's always the option of doing a Fargo prequel...

Whilst the film is wonderful, one of the Cohen brothers' finest creations, I'm coming to the view that the series, is in its own way, even better. Great performances all round but Billy Bob Thornton is outstanding. Quality TV.

Fully agree! For all that Billy Bob thinks he's a musician

, he's a much better actor.  lol

And yeah,
