but a crossbow on the priest? what was someone thinking? silly if you ask me how about a large religious scepter or cross that he bangs / inspires people with. Better yet  leave the hand open and give us several options to place in it!!!

The priest is a lovely figure, and deserves the crossbow..............very Van Helsing!!

Yes if it fits your particular game but it would be nicer to have a selection of weapons, especially a priest figure that could be possibly used in many scenarios. Just makes him more versatile and from a sales standpoint that is also less limiting to sales. He is such a great sculpt I just think its a shame to limit him. For instance he would be a great figure to use in a Victorian London game Ala Sherlock Holmes but not with a Crossbow, or a traveler in a Darkest Africa 1920s game, but not with a crossbow, interchange able weapons would open up these possibilities and increase sales. :-*

PS how about a large cross that has a hidden crossbow on the reverse side!!! lol

Old Glory has a pack of Russian priests in the Cossack Wars range, they are pretty nice, some armed, some not.

Here seen with a Hellboy Rasputin and an Eldar Thing,

But yes, a crossbow is pretty much limiting him for specific gaming purposes.
