Never heard of that film. Is it available (cheaply) on ebay or something? And is it worth buying it?

Think 1984, but done by Terry Gilliam. As lots of odd visuals (apparently wearing shoes as a hat is a type of fashion) and twisted humour (as much as the world's freedom fighters fighting the government by fixing people's plumbing without filling out the paperwork that is...). ;)

Synopsis: this chap Sam Lowry works an admin job and is happy but his mother wants him promoted and he refuses until he realises he can get info on the girl of his dreams (in which he flies and has a sword fight with a giant mechanical samurai), which he does, briefly, with the help of her truck and a bomb attack in a restaurant. You get a rebel plumber who is Robert De Niro and has problems with paperwork; and Christmas presents and a cowboy film and a funeral and lots of ducts and a gun battle and pyromaniac kids and a cooling tower and ministry posters and a desk shared between two offices and a dead fly.

That just about sums it up, but it's actually much better and more fun.

Pics of some 'extended universe' stuff for the Brazil scenario.
The colonel in the pic is true 28mm (Foundry, I think) - poor chap got tired waving his hat through all those pics.

Riot tank

MISER (note the Ministry logo I simplified from the film)

WIP fuel bowser, based on a 1:35 scale Piranha.

No sign of any real film character yet.

It would never have occurred to me to try to game Brazil, but I am glad that somebody is going for it with this sort of commitment level.

Whats the curved piece in the middle of the "Miser" made from.  It looks very familiar.

Lovely stuff.

I really like the vehicles.
If you don't believe in lead, you're already dead.

Thanks.
The MISER (Ministry of Information S...... (what as it I called it?!) Eavesdropping Radar) is just a slightly unusual monitor (CRT type) support with a few bits attached - the structure sticking out on the right, a few ventilator fans and grilles on the top surface, some plasticard including the simplified logo.

Area23 - thank you  :)

Here beginneth the saga of Notjilstruk.

The northern wind spread
Ministry's white memes
On the grey lands of myBrazil
The morn
That Vanvlak set forth 'pon the waves
of Internet and found
the site of Shackled Ram.

Whereupon I ordered a truck http://shop.ramshacklegames.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6&products_id=276 which arrived today.
This will not replicate Jill's truck, but will play its role.
