Thank you! The lichen and the buildings were nearly all Mike's, and the rest is mine.

Sadly not, no. I got rid of my 20mm figures about three years ago to move down to 15s... and here I am playing with 28mm models just because it's the club standard!

Luckily Some Corner of a Foreign Field doesn't need many models, just a squad per side. I wouldn't do 28mm otherwise, it's very much a skirmish scale for me.

Well, the whole thing has been written to fit on just two pages, and it just uses a d20, though having more will occasionally be useful.

It is written for squad level combat, so generally 4-15 miniatures a side. It flows very well once people have checked the modifier lists a couple of times, but crucially, models must be spotted before they can be shot at. This balances out the lethality of modern weapons, giving historically low casualty rates if appropriate tactics are used. Superior troops get superior bonuses to fire and evasion, and more actions than much worse troops.

Fast, furious fun.
