Briefspite paints Napoleonics
« on: August 26, 2014, 02:02:01 PM »
I am slowly painting up a Napoleonic Austrian army

Just finished are the Cuirassier Regiment "Melas" No. 6 and the Infantry Regiment "Graf Strassoldo" No. 27.

Bigger pictures, and a lot more of them, on the blog, http://www.briefspite.com/tag/kaiserliche-konigliche/

The bases are not finished, I am a bit undecided on what I want to do with them.

Nice stuff. You've had the AB stuff painted for 20 years?!

(Okay, my AB Napoleonics have scared me for 5). The more 15mm Napoleonics I see on LAF, the more I'm slowly cleaning and priming the army as I psych myself to paint them.

These are freshly painted, a lot of the other stuff on the blog is around 20 years old.

Just go for it, its not so hard once you get going :)

I think it's the fact it's napoleonics coupled with being AB - they are simple sublime sculpts (and I don't want to screw it up). Current thinking is to start with the Landwehr and work my way to the more colourful troops.
