Possible option for AT-43 Kyrgs!

I know most folks out there no longer have any interest in AT-43, but when I saw the Fallen Frontiers stuff my first thought was that the Riffs faction would make great stand-ins for the Krygs. I don't have a link to the one or two pieces of 'possible' artwork that ever got shown of the Krygs, but they weren't too far off from these:



In the past year I've become an avid fan of AT-43 and am currently filling out my ONI forces with models of my own. By the time I finish that my Fallen Frontiers KS pledge will likely arrive, so it's quite possible I'll be putting together some rules and models for a non-Krygs force in the future!

What do the rest of you think? Are these models way off base?

Yep that's the image I was thinking of. Since it's (to my knowledge) the only image we ever saw of the Krygs it's all I really had to go on. I thought the head design was pretty close with the eyes, jaw and teeth between the art and models. The models are certainly a little smoother and less gribbly, which I actually prefer.

Who knows, the Fallen Frontiers game itself might be damned good and I can just play that game with these models and be perfectly content with it. On the other hand, I thought there might be a few folks out there like me who still love AT-43 and wouldn't mind expanding their game through a little creative customization.

There was one other picture that was floating around (often cited as a Kyrg but never officially confirmed or denied by Rackham) that's a little more "spikey".




The Riffs will probably fit the bill.  What are you leaning towards as far as rules?  I don't ever remember any rumors on how Rackham "intended" them to play.  The only thing I remember is that they supposedly stole technology from other races and liked to graft it to themselves.

Diggin' that guys spidery chaotic arms. Also the Zeram-ish bio armor.

Don't know anything about AT-43, but those Riffs look like they'd make fantastic Shadowrun ogres.

I'm keen on those Berserkers. I'll wait until they're actually released tho.
