I didn't know they were 25mm when I bought them.  FRP games webiste had them listed as 28mm.   If I start a FIW - 1812 force those Over mountain men will be a must have.

I´m decreasing the size of my projects and the number of minis and opting for some Brigade games figures instead.

I also bought a load of these when Foundry did it's sell off and was a bit disappointed with the way they turned out - but looking at these I can see I really didn't do justice to their potentional. As I write this I'm taking a break from painting up a unit of Brigade Games riflemen, which are excellent.

Generally speaking, yes. Paul Hicks' style is very compatible with Alan Perry's in terms of bulk and size.

I agree. They are a bit bigger than the Foundry War of 1812 minis though.

yes and better sculpted than Knuckleduster
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

No surprise here as the Foundry range is a fairly old one - I think it dates back to the very late 1980's or early 90's - and most Foundry ranges then were around the 26mm mark. The War of 1812 figures were also sculpted by Aly Morrison, not the Perry twins.

Actually, North Star do carry a few select BG ranges but the War of 1812 is not one of them.

USPS have considerably raised their shipping rates over the past couple of years but they still remain cheaper than most courier services such as UPS - whose 'handling' charge borders on highway robbery. I order from BG on a regular basis, maybe three or four times a year, and have never been hit by customs. I'm in France though, and the situation may be different in other European countries. I also keep my orders below the 100 dollars mark, which helps maintain my packages below the customs' radar.

Well, my last order from BG costed 56 dollars plus 23 euros charged by customs. :'(
And yes its true Northstar has some ranges but a very poor offer.
I can understand that for they suffer customs charges like me.
