Firefight Normandy models
« on: 22 January 2015, 01:19:45 AM »
Hi guys,

A group of us are going to play a few games of Firefight Normandy and I'm looking for a little bit of model advice.

I've got a few Dragon US Airborne 1/35 models and am looking to for few more alternate poses.
Does anyone know how the Airfix plastic 1/32 size up against the 1/35 stuff?
I've heard they are on the smaller side of 1/32 and look OK next to some 1/35 figures.
They seem like a bargain price-wise too.

Has anyone used them together? Are there any comparison pics you could share?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings! Having spent countless hours playing with my Marx and Airfix 54mm figures with Tamiya and Italeria 1/35 scale and Monogram 1/32 scale vehicles I can say there is somewhat of a noticeable difference. 1/35 scale is 51mm and 1/32 is 54mm. I wouldn't let it stop you. The only time it is glaring is if you have two examples of the same vehicle in two different scales next to each other. Airfix 54mm figures look fine with 1/35 scale figures. Monogram 1/32 figures tend to be larger. By the way, I used to battle my Airfix Red Devils with a Tamiya 6 pounder A.T. gun  against my Germans supported by a Monogram Ostwind and Italeria Hetzer  endlessly after watching "A Bridge too Far".   :D
