It's an easy build, and most parts can be found or easily replaced. Go on, I'm sure a better version can be made :)

Update at last.
I can't show the Skate R itself,as it's now in the paintshop and progressing.
But I can show the setting:

The backdrop (practically white) is a sheet of perspex which will constitute a frozen surface.
The blue glass fragments come from a garden and pets store, and are supposed to be used in aquaria. Lumps of ice.
The Hard Rock Cafe' cocktail stick - well.....

I am still curious of how this turned out (including the cocktail stick!). You got there in the end?

Just emailed this very minute, if it's not midnight yet (!)
Phew.
The base only has minimal scenery, less than I hoped to get ready, but at least it's done.
Now all I need are 3 more similar perspex boards for a frozen lake gaming surface - which would need slipping rules!

So you may get to see it yet, von Lucky  :D

Now it's over, here's some more pics of the Skate R 'Ice Wagon', which took all my time available leaving too little development for the frozen lake.

An Oldhammer 40K SPGO (Standard Plastic Goff Ork) has kindly offered to pose with the Skate R as a scale guide.

A lovely bit of junk modelling, it really gives off that retro vibe.
