Few resin trucks done
« on: 01 April 2015, 03:17:31 AM »
Still need a little work but for home grown I don't think they came out to bad. For the Mitsubishi I didn't pour enough resin but i'll fill those holes. And I changed the tires out with another set that I molded. Makes it look a lot better to me.

I think I figured out how to fix the mirror issue on the two chevy's. Might try and create a new mold as nothing I tired worked to get the mirrors filled. But hey these are for a game and not display.

Now if I can only figure out how people paint the windows the way they do and i'll be all set.

WOW! They look cracking! :-* :-* :-*

Can I ask how you went about building them? (Any pics as well?)

As for the windows, use reference material! If you have something to aim for/copy it helps. ....

Very nice. What scale are these?

Yup sorry started a thread on how to get them going and then once I had one mold it was time to do a few more.

I have 2 reg molds and the MIT is the soft bendable mold. I think that's why I'm not having trouble with the mirrors.

These are 20mm / 1/72. One is a matchbox that I modified, one is a code three and the pick up is a racing champs. They all go nicely with my 1/72 guys. I don't have any 20mm yet so I can't compare those yet

Got a few painted up so far...nothing fancy and not even close to what some of you do on here but good enough to game with.

I just got finished with the Hilux and think it came out pretty decent...chopped a diecast down and filled it in.

Now to find weapon systems to plant in the back of them...I think i'll leave the two Mitsubishi's for the good guys...

Pretty sweet - they look a little clean though. Maybe some black ink to break up the panels and/or dust brush along the bottom?
