1:48 + 1:50 US trucks?
« on: 12 September 2014, 08:46:08 AM »
Does any body have a list of suppliers for these scale of trucks?
I've just noticed the really nice 1st Corps Russian trucks, so I have these covered now!
I'm after US trucks.
Maybe some German from Hobby Master?

It's this new Bolt Action 'Tank Wars' fault.
All my infantry support hast to be motorised!  lol

Also, anybody got any ideas on where I can access the full Hobby Master range?
Most suppliers I've seen only sell the odd jeep, but I'm after the Tiger II in 1:48.

cheers

Corgi has a 2.5 t US Vietnam truck in their Forgotten Heroes range as well as a Bedford QT(?) in their Drive through Holland range but they are scarce and exxy although watching Ebay over a long time I have grabbed 2 of them.  There are some Modern 1:50 scale British and French more modern ones but again scarce and exxy.
Cheers,

Solido made  2.5 ton  GMCs both the hard top cab and soft top option.  I have a couple of the former. They are 1/50 usually reasonably priced and very well detailed.  Repainting is easy if you want to, it all unscrews for spray painting.Try ebay. They also made  1 ton and 3/4 ton Dodge trucks, which are equally nice. There's even a version of the latter towing a water trailer and one of the former in the wrecker version.

Cheers guys,

Yes I have been looking at the old Solido stuff.
(in fact I have 4 X Lee tanks, hence the need for the trucks)

But ebay is frustrating me, the Solido/Corgi stuff is expensive if it's still in it's box!
Which of course is no good to me.

Hobby Master looks superb, but getting hold of the stuff seems difficult.
I note they make a JSII and a TigerII, but tracking them down is tough (in 1:48/1:50)
Plus a nice Opel Blitz.

Tamiya makes WWII US and German trucks in 1/48 scale. Mirage makes WWII Russian trucks in 1/48 scale, and Hasegawa makes 1 or 2 WWII Japanese trucks in 1/48 scale.
