Baccus 6mm colonial brits question
« on: May 30, 2015, 04:10:28 PM »
Hello all. Like the title hints I've been eyeing Baccus' 6mm colonial British. I see there are two different codes in the catalogue: CBR02 'British Infantry Firing' and CBR22 'British Infantry Firing'. I can't see much difference in the photos apart from the uniform colour. Has anyone inspected them a bit more closely, and can you help point out what distinguishes them?

If you look closely the CBR22 have Wolsey helmets and pugaress around the helmets, while the CBR02 has the previous sun helmet.

hope that this helps.

I don't think those are meant to be Wolseley helmets. Nothing else in that range is from the period when those were worn (i.e. World War One). I think they are representing the earlier sun helmet, just with a puggaree. Looks to me like CBR02 is meant for the Zulu War, while CBR22 is for 1880s Sudan. At that scale the uniform differences aren't very noticeable, to be honest.
