I normally walk on by when webshops don't put up photos of their minis, in this day and age, but this time I might dig a little deeper. Does anyone have any of H&R's 6mm colonial british? What do you think of them? Have you got any good photos? Ta.

I have NWF, Sudan and Zulu War. What are you particularly interested in?

They're typical H & R: well proportioned, such that the effect from the usual sort of gaming viewing distance is convincing, with skirmishing types in a decent variety of realistic poses. There's none of the unnecessary detail, and grotesquely exaggerated proportions required to achieve it (hugely oversized heads etc.), of more modern brands.

I was going to go with Baccus for a while, but the 'oversized heads' thing is exactly why I decided to look elsewhere. (I could live with it, but I also want to mix them with another, more realistically proportioned range) From what small, general H&R photos I can see online, I agree that those proportions look much better.
Thing is, I'd also like to recreate the classic two rank volley fire arrangement that Baccus sells - would the figures in the skirmishing infantry pack allow that? I'd guess not. Heck, I can't even find how many figures you get in each pack. It's frustrating!

I've only bought Modern and WW2 figures from H&R - there are roughly 50 infantry per pack. H&R have been a pleasure to deal with whenever I've ordered.
