Blue Moon are better than those Two Dragon chappies... who look like they're carrying telegraph poles instead of rifles!

If I was putting my 15mm Sudan collection today I am sure I would rely heavily on the Blue Moon 15mm/18mm Colonial line of figures though I am also sure that I would look to other manufacturers to supplement those figures... that's just what I do.  I put my collection together more than a decade ago and used Essex as the base of my collection supplemented by Peter Pig, Two Dragons, Minifies, and Old Glory 15s.  You can see my collection at www.warin15mm.com/The-Sudan.html

Most of my collection is Peter Pig, which offers a good, comprehensive range for the early (1883-85) Sudan period - Gordon Relief Expedition, Suakin etc. There's a few gaps, like Egyptian or Bengal cavalry but Minifigs fit well alongside them. I've also got several units of Blue Moon Hadendowa - probably not so easy to mix the two in the same units but look fine on the table in different units.

And for Italians v. Mahdists, look at the range by Tin Soldier UK.

Interesting comparisons. I have an extensive early Sudan 6mm collection, mostly Heroics & Ross with some Irregular Miniatures. Lately I've been toying with selling it and investing in a larger scale (failing eyesight due to painting all those 6mm figures...), so this is useful. Thanks for sharing your information, everybody.  :)

Well, I can't add to the opinions on figures - mine is already covered above.  But it seems there is an attack of fifteenmilimeteritis of late here on LAF.  EXCELLENT!  lol
