More Colonial Brits on the Perry Workbench
« on: May 09, 2016, 03:18:35 AM »
Infantry in forage caps and shell jackets for the Cape Wars range, though they can be readily use for the 1845/46 Maori War as well :

They'll also double as British Auxiliary Legion for the 1st Carlist war and can be adapted to see service in Afghanistan and India for the 1839/1848 period.

It also looks as if the plastic colonial British set is about to receive some metal reinforcements :

The early forage capped ones are great reinforcements for Afghanistan. I just wish they would do some in forage caps and shirtsleeves, then one could model that famous David Cunliffe portrait of the Ox and Bucks' piquet guarding the livestock.

Those will give a bit of variation to my Empress 1840's British. Maybe one day they'll do some Maori as well.

These figures look really well. I have been a fan of Perry Miniatures for many years, and I expect these new models be of their old quality (they are the best to "catch" the period look, IMHO).

I'm going to use those Cape Wars Brits for the Portuguese Civil War and 1st Carlist War Portuguese Division.
