Greetings from deepest darkest Kent
« on: 15 July 2015, 09:31:20 PM »
Hi,

As per suggested, introducing myself on the forum.

Have been a tabletop gamer since around 9/10yr old, but have not really been doing anything for the last 20yrs! Was recommended by one of my oldest friends and longtime gamer Ray who got me into buying my first game in 20yrs, FrostGrave, and very impressed i am!

I also tried out a gaming pop up cafe in Maidstone earlier in the year which rekindled my interest in doing more board games, rather than being plugged in.

I have been doing some gaming this year as my son is now old enough (7yr) to appreciate some of them, have been doing Heroquest as a family and working up to Space Crusade, both of which have been dusted off and missing parts replaced. The wife is however not so thrilled!

Into early 80's lead and citadel boxed sets, have been filling in the inevitable blanks the archived collection has accrued through various house moves.

The gaming collection includes Dungeonquest, Curse of the Mummy's Tomb, Space Hulk, Heroquest, Advanced HQ, Space Crusade, Advanced SC, Judge Dredd, Aliens (Leading Edge), Gorkamorka, Necromunda, 40k, Epic and some old TSR stuff.

Look forward to getting to know the forum and meeting others on here. Already impressed with the FrostGrave cards!! they are on the print queue.

Dave.

Good to see Kent lads on here. I'm from Margate myself but slipped the leash ten years ago and headed north.

Welcome to LAF daffidhippie.

You have quite a fan of interests (and I confess I have most of those games too).

You'll fit pretty nicely here.  ;)

May you have a long and merry stay with us.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

Greetings. Originally from Kent but been West Country based for a decade now. I remember the old Gamesworkshop shop in Maidstone and when Gamleys and Boots stocked Citadel minis.

You'll fit in fine.
