Whilst in the process of preparing an "official" fantasy mass battle version (due next year) for the Impetus and Basic Impetus rules the old unofficial version and its points list have been posted to the Wargames Vault site for free download.

So you can get the basic impetus rules:

All these are free for anyone wanting to try a different fantasy mass battle game.  There are Warhammer variant and Lord of the Rings armies around the Impetus forum that people have put together.
They are very much geared towards a "free format" approach, sample army lists are given as guides but really only to show how to develop the lists. The aim is total flexibility to create a valid force from any eclectic collection of fantasy battle figures.
