RN early armoured car
« on: 14 March 2016, 11:53:48 PM »
Here's a quick sneak peak of a warts and all casting.( the only work it's had done to it is the removal of the hand grips on the Vickers) it's in a thin undercoat as I normally check for flash and moulding defects this way
nothing is glued in place.
This is an early Samson Rolls with a little tweaking of the angle of the rear and drivers plate.Ive done this for a couple of reasons The first being it makes for a more reliable casting. Its also easier to access the interior both to add the gun and crew and to paint.(and to customise)
I've opted for the dog leg mount rather than the earlier tripod As its was soon found to be a better idea, and it looks better .However I've allowed enough room to fit the earlier tripod mount if you wished to replace it.

This things been floating around since 'Partizan in the Park' When Dave Andrews suggested it would be an nice addition to the range I only remembered where I'd put it at the beginning of Feb,and Simon and Mick have kindly cast it up just to see if it's worth adding to the range.

Nice. It'll be a great addition for VBCW games too.

Sorry Wolt,
Never thought to mention where. It will be part of the range of vehicles I've done for 1st Corps Miniatures.Simon and Mick will probably have a few at Salute. Its not on the website yet as I've not Painted one .( Mick normally takes pictures of my copy.for the website)but you can contact them and get it before I've figured out a paint scheme or remembered where I put the ammunition belt and box that goes with it.

Very nice, just replace the driver with a chauffeur
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.
