20mm Modern - Russian Militia & French Special Ops
« on: 15 March 2016, 02:50:25 AM »
G'day all,

I recently finished painting and basing some more 20mm modern miniatures, mostly from Elhiem & excellent sculpts too. The majority are Russian Militia in a combo of Multicam and Digi-Flora camo. The other four are Special Operators in Centre Europe camo, a French pattern.

Well done! Although I can´t figure out how you can paint with so much detail on such a small surface!

I can't paint much past a basecoat at this scale nowadays without having to use a headband mounted magnifier  :)

Very well painted. Do to space, I might have to switch back to 20mm for my moderns.

Mate that is absolutely amazing!   :-*

I am just getting back into painting my Elhiem Figs moderns (USMC plus "bad guys") for some sort of Imagi-Nation type game.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Aha, now we know your secret.  Where did you buy the magnifier from and what brand is it?

Nice work again BTW.

Thanks guys  :)
The headband magnifier came from here: http://jewellerssupplies.com.au/index.php

But they don't seem to have the exact same model in stock at the moment. I think mine retailed for about $170 Oz dollars. It has three different lenses, is lightweight, comfortable to wear - made in Japan.
