Skirmish at San Chorizo
« on: 25 May 2016, 01:58:43 PM »
The Basementeers played their 4th game of Sharp Practice last night using the two basic cores for Peninsula French and British adding 14 points of support each , so fighting a Large Skirmish according to the book. Both sides added a status  1 Leader with the Brits also taking a 7 point gun and 8 X Spanish Fusileros, the French elected to add 2 X 8 men units of Voltiguers. The game swung along swiftly and smoothly , we must have played through in excess of 15 turns before the French morale fell to zero. The game was notable for a prolonged firefight on one flank with 3 X units of the Buffs being forced back , still keeping their formation, and their French counterparts on the hill suffering multiple shock and casualties. We were, at one point , in danger of running out of little green shock dice. The British CinC spent the next morning lying quietly in his tent , his brow being sponged by his favorite batman, and a Do Not Disturb note pinned to the flap.

Looking gritty and grimm...I like that.
Think I have to give the new SP a try.

Cheers,
Don
