Hey!

Thomas of Tom's Boring Mordheim Blog has painted a pirate crew for me. He just made his first guest post on my blog. If you like have a look. There are more posts to follow. :)

To get an idea of what you will find there, here are a few pics:

Nice stuff, Cianty.  Those are really well done and have that grungy look to them, and I will have to scoot over to Tom's and tell him so (I assume they are posted there).

Did you ever get a ship for this crew?  I figured if you were writing an article about various ships, you must have created something for them.

My blog actually :)

I'm currently using the small ship from Games of War and I'm very happy with it. In our current LotHS campaign it really doesn't look like I'll be in need of a bigger vessel soon. I've contacted the folks at Games of War and they've been very kind and told me that the long announced pirate accessories and the medium sized ship are coming soon so I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

Now those are some very nasty looking fellows you would definitely want to stear clear of...very realistic looking. Great work...lucky fellow!!

Part Two of Tomme's Logbooke has just been posted (read here). He wrote a great face tutorial for the pirates' faces.

Here's a sample...

Great paint job.

I have avoided these mini because of their identical static leg positions. They look a little odd to me.

Hello again,

the third part of Tom's Logbooke has been posted. He painted this awesome pirate captain sculpt from Hasslefree miniatures.

This is my favourite pirate miniature and I have to thank some of you for posting a link to it on this board. I stumbled across it when browsing through some older threads here and immediately ordered one.

You can now see the full pirate crew on the site. For more pictures check out the pirates gallery of my blog. You can also see a few of them in "3D" from different angles there. Hope you like them! :)

The subdued palette is fantastic! Usually pirates are painted a bit gaudy for my tastes.  These have more hints of gaudiness under a layer of salt residue - really nice paints.
Check out THE CROGAN ADVENTURES, a historical adventure graphic novel series available from your local bookstore or comic shop (or, of course, Amazon).  I make 'em.
