Is the "beige" actually a bleached/washed out "olive/green"?????????????

I won't show you the pictures I have found which definately look more "grey" in colour. I have ordered a few GB Turks to try so I will have your predicament as soon as they arrive o_o o_o

actually greenish-khaki, Grimm, like the lads on the pic, but I would take more brown, just to make it a bit bleached

Based on this...

... and the colour plates in the Osprey book, I decided to go with a sandy khaki for my Johhny Turks. I reserved the greenish-khaki for officers, as some of them would have bought their own better quality stuff.

But, to quote Mr. Osprey:

"Colours as well as quality of cloth varied considerably. The same applied to boots and other leather items."

Some artillerymen wore white uniforms during the summer months, which is a cool way to provide a bit of variation in your force's look.

Hi Grimm,

There was a topic of this subject sometime ago, however, the guys has shown some of the colour variations you could use.

I'm now using a combination of mixing Khaki Grey with English Uniform and then adding some German Camo Brown/Black mix for a darker effect on some attire.

Field Drab and khaki Grey with a hightlight of Iraqi Sand with a soft flesh mix will give you a lovely effect also.

Green Grey and English Uniform is also not to bad either! Green Grey and Brown Olive is another possibility.

In essence you can vary the trousers and tunics with what you like. Bolts of German cloth came into producing Turkish uniforms too.

White is another good colour variation on its own or in combination with the above.

As Poly has mention I like to have my Turkish officers stand apart from their rank & file so I tend to pay more attention to them with regards to colour.

Best of luck to you.  8)
Best wishes,
Helen

Didn't some Turkish soldiers in World War One wear a fez?

The fez was no longer official headgear by this time, but according to Osprey many soldiers still wore it, mostly when they were off duty. You do see it in photos (also the lambskin Kalpak hat, which was fez-shaped).
