Anyone play Heavy Gear Blitz?

Casting about for a new game for our group, I noticed DP9 has a new 2 Player Starter set with plastic figs. Now, of all the Big Stompy Robot games, the HG mechs are the coolest, IMO, but every iteration of the rules I've investigated comes off as rather involved. Seems the game would slow to a crawl with large numbers of figs. Am I wrong about this? Is the latest version streamlined? Any info would be great. Thanks.

I have to admit to not having seen it, though it looks interesting, especially the plastic figures.

But to be honest, I simply do not understand the rules anymore...
I wrote some stats for Gears for my ViDe system (which I understand), but Blitz is just beyond me.
Same for the latest Jovian ruleset...

Same here: love the figs, don't get the rules. Even watched tutorial videos after which not only did I still not understand them but had even less desire to do so. But the models...
