Dolmot, I think those are your finest cultists yet. Love the deep, rich blue against the green of the tentacles. Very smooth blending. And the candles are a lovely touch of detail.

Normally I would vote for Michael given almost any competition, but those cultists are just too damn smooth and funny looking. Nice work Dolmot!

I love both of these for completely different reasons.   

The cultists are fab and a great scene.  (Who makes the cultists?  I need some for a future project.    )

The Pathans and the scene, very dynamic. 
(I would be tempted to buy some but just can't sacrifice the limited hobby time on Perry metalwork clean up.     )

In a pinch (like my situation totally was a month ago), cultists are a handy way to paint a two-colour entry. Often you can skip painting eyes too. However, I suspect people are starting to see through my bluff.

The minis are from a Midlam kickstarter. Their previous KS items are already available in their normal webstore so I'd assume these will be quite soon as well. I was planning to paint the two big guys as statues, but time was really limited so I concentrated on the main entry, following the rule "if in doubt, keep it simple" or "minis first". The circle/well is recycled from an earlier LPL entry.

The most time-consuming part here (well, maybe not literally) was photography. I had to re-shoot this at least five times, first pushing and blowing stuff to right places, then getting the "perfect shot" but ultimately noticing in the final processing stage that there was very obvious sand on the sitting guy's lap. Drat. Sixth shoot it is, then.

I'm actually a bit surprised by how well my painted sand and real sand are blending here...
