Seems Familiar?
« on: April 29, 2017, 08:16:21 PM »
Hi all,

Just finished my second game of Frostgrave and I managed to find a Familiar Spell. Being a Soothsayer the Witch spell is opposed...  :'(.
Not withstanding this I have learnt the spell ready for my next game, being an out of game spell gives me two chances of casting it (with no chance of taking damage for a bad roll)  ;).

So now I needed a Familiar Model. A quick bit of Ebaying and hey presto we have Mango Fundingus, who used to be employed by an old GW Chaos Wizard. One 30 minute paint job later.

With Fluffy the Fleshrender, his new favorite magical buddy (also useful for size scale). Mango has also chosen the same coloured clothes to better fit in with Fluffy!

I like it! Very classic looking.
Less talking, more painting.

GW's Homage to the character Orko from He-man.

My first thought was Final Fantasy Black Mage, rather than Orko.  But both work.   lol

Yes but the figures are from 1985. He-Man premiered in 1983 but Final Fantasy wasn't published until 1987.

2nd Familiar painted up, just in case the Wiz and Apprentice both cast a Familiar! Again it was time to raid the old GW Chaos Familiars
