Plane hasn't been touched yet as I want to get some paint on the hanger. Still a bit of weathering to do but it's not far off.



The kit is Minicraft and the only decent thing about it is the decal sheet unfortunately. It'll be alright though

The above was listed on Ebay as a Delta 777-200 .I took a bit of a punt on this one based on the fact that the description gave the dimensions as an 11 inch wingspan and 8 inch body. It looked like it would work for the period and fit with a 1/48 scale. Total price was £11 (inc postage) – not bad for a pre built model.

What's your issue with it? I have a Minicraft Cessna floatplane that's waiting to be built and it looks pretty good in the box. Simple design? Warped plastic?

There's a fair bit of flash (not a massive problem), no decent lugs for joining parts together and there is some warping which isn't insurmountable but just frustrating when I want to do a quick job but I'll have to spend a bit more time on it to get it to the state I want it (a bit anal in that regard).

Still according to the legend, after that first successful drug run he said to his cousin and crime partner: "We're gonna need a bigger plane!"  That was in 1975 - the same year of the JAWS movie with that famous line...

Hanger is pretty much done (apart from the growies outside). Not entirely happy with the rusting but it'll do for a quick gaming piece.
