Introducing a New Company : Smart Max
« on: 13 March 2009, 12:40:17 PM »
Hello Lead Adventurers,

My name is Cedric Lemitre and I am the boss of a new miniatures company named Smart Max.

We are pleased to introduce you to our 1/35 "retro-SF" Characters at www.smartmaxblog.com

We are currently working on two ranges of Characters :

Mauser Earth : the dystopian chronicles of a weird Great War involving super heroes, magic and robots.

Smog : a steampunk fantasy set in the Victorian London.

Our first miniatures will be released later on this month at www.smartmaxstore.com

Until then, new Characters will appear on the blog at leat twice a week.

Best Regards,

Smart Max Cedric

Very nice sculpts. Unfortunately not a scale I'm interested in but good luck nonetheless.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Yeah if these were 28mm, I'd be all over 'em.

Not wanting to sound like a broken record, but I'd have to agree with everyon else - absolutely beautiful minis, but I can't be doing with starting a new scale at my age...

Fantastic miniatures from some of my favourite sculptors, and what superb subjects, but that scale ...  :?

Anyway, I will continue to check what's coming up in this range and let the sculpts inspire me!  :)

Very original concepts and some very nice sculpts. Unfortunately, I must agree with my comrades here in that they are too large for my tastes, but they're still beautiful pieces, and I wish you all the luck in the world!

These are excellent sculpts.  ;D
Your Mauser Earth project sounds promising as well. :-*

But why that 1/35 scale?

My lord, those are just great!  If only they were 28mm!  Can I ask why the choice in scale?  Just curious. Does the scale add something to this game in particular?

There's a lot of plastic available in 1/35... I guess for some small skirmish action it wouldn't be too much of an investment to get into. But then there's terrain... hmmm. Looking forward to seeing more, but the 1/35 thing has me a bit boggled too :)

Best of luck!

I'll add another "nice, but in a totally useless scale" comment.

I dabble my toes in The Nile in 1/32 scale so maybe I could get some use out of some of them.

Lovely miniatures, I like your ideas. Unfortunate choice of scale though. If only they were 28mm.

This is why you do Market Research before product releases I guess.

Still, I think it's an interesting area to develop into. Again, looking forward to seeing where this is going.
