Gramodels - resin models in 4 scales

Earlier today I made a quick trip out to Kidderminster (about 20 miles away) and visited the Kidderminster Model Railway Exhibition.

One of the displays that took my attention was Gramodels who produce resin military vehicles to accompany the main railway scales. For example;

N gauge – 2mm or 1/150th
- 3mm or 1/100th
OO gauge – 4mm or 1/76th
O gauge – 7mm or 1/43rd

The 7mm WW1 Whippet tank and 7mm Cromwell are very good and well worth checking out.

Can only say, I find it very strange that so many web vendors do not have pics of their products. Kinda nullifies the idea of selling stuff on the web....

For what it is worth, the Gramodels resin kits are some of the finest available, but Graham should indeed whip out his camera.

The models I saw at the show were indeed very well made and cast, but I agree with the lack of photos on web sites.

I checked on the Gramodels stand at Crisis, but since there were no 28mm-compatible models I could use at the time, I didn´t buy any.

The models on display looked excellent, though. On the pictures, I think it´s just the thing that the owner (who I assumed was manning the stand at Crisis) was of an older generation, probably coming from a model railway background, and I think those folks are generally not as "web-affine" as we young whippersnappers are.

I have been buying Gramodels 4mm stuff since the late 70s and can attest to the fine standard of his work. I even had the luxury of a visit to his house in 1990 while visiting the UK and my trip to the north of England was much delayed while I drooled over the pieces in his collection, many of them scratchbuilt.

Similarly I visited ALBY, Richard Houston, Gordon Brown on the same trip. Back then, I was an avid 1/76th scale modeller, nowadays it is either 15mm, 28mm or 1/144 and mostly prepainted thru Ebay and all for gaming or increasing the lead mountain.
