Scratch built tank

found plans for a paper model on the net. Then decided to built the tank with cardboard and give the model a little dimension.  Used puffy paint to make the rivets and some plastic tube for the muffler and cannons.

That´s excellent! Would you care to tell what "puffy paint" is? I find this rivet effect particularly effective.

Overall, that model looks very much like a "prototype tank" for a 1920s "attack on a military base by foreign spies and their mobster allies" scenario.

Scroll down to the very bottom of the page, I think it´s the Ford 3-Ton download. I had the page bookmarked for years and the models downloaded out of curiosity, but now I´ll actually have to think about building one or two after seeing this nice piece.

I think that "puffy" paint is the version of paint that hobbyists that make their own cards use to have lettres that lay on the paper.
They sell that kind of stuff in the hobby shop in Antwerp, might get some black from thos range, i presume you could overpaint it afterwards in the right colour.

Yes the paper model is from tinpaper.net. As fore puffy paint the official name is 3-D paint. I buy my form a regular craft store. I have had the bottle for years since I only use it for rivets and door hinges.  The bottle is a little bigger that a vallejo paint bottle. The brand I have is (scribbles 3-d paint 29.5ml) Once it dry you can paint it any color. I was able to rivet the whole tank in about 20mins.  I put one cove on the I let it dry and go over the rivets one more time to give more depth. But once you learn to control the pressure needed it goes fast.
