My Next Project: 6mm SciFi Army "The Alliance"
« on: May 22, 2017, 02:23:14 AM »
Having now completed my Winter and Spring projects (refurbishing, reorganizing and completing my Soviet and German WW2 armies), it's time for the next project: giving my 6mm SciFi armies the same treatment. Up first is an army of what was the Command Horizon humans range. These are now, under their new owners, called The Alliance:

I bought my army second hand so it has a seemingly random assortment of finished models. Time, then, to organize them in to units per my army lists, flesh out units, and add new units as required.

The rules are "Another Glorious Day in the Corps" a small action set of rules I am writing. A player normally commands a company sized force, but up easily to handle multiple players per side.

Here I have some test tanks to try and match the existing paint scheme:

This is a medium tank model. Each model comes with a 3 weapon sprue (Launcher, seen here at right, heavy gun pictured and heavy beam not pictured).

You should be able to swap that for an image (img) link from a URL link

They're looking quite sharp - glad to see more non-28mm on the LAF as well!

Something to fight over. Gentlemen, I give you the Hazardous Environment Living Pod or HELP. Needs some sprucing up first....

Ran out of bases. So while I wait for them to arrive, here is some terrain. The buildings will be a Martian village. The base camp is a slovenly Rebel camp.

The camp is a couple sets from JR Minis. They are probably 5+ years old. Bought them on clearance, but they are really bad castings. Air bubbles everywhere, surfaces very pitted and rough, like sandpaper. Would have sent them back but never did. So rather than bin them I'm throwing a quick coat of paint on them. My thinking is they'll be under a flames marker by turn 2 so no one will notice :-)
