Nizari Ismails - which model to use?
« on: 29 May 2017, 09:33:33 AM »
Hello I am going to build an army for Outremer game so I will be able to start as soon as possible as it will be possible. I want to build army of Nizari Ismails for times since first crusade to Hattin and fall of Jeruzalem. Any suggestions for nice models?

I suppose any medieval muslim/arab models wearing more eastern clothing; so stay away from litham-wearing figurines and stick to models wearing turbans. So something like these guys from Perry Miniatures:

...but not minis such as these from Gripping Beast:

Having said that as the original Nizaris fled East from Egypt just before the first crusade. As they ended up in Iran, Iraq and western India the common foot soldiers might even look quite Turkic.

I use a mixture of Pendraken, Magister Militum, and Irregular Miniatures for mine.
The laws of probability do not apply to my dice in wargames or to my finesses in bridge.
