My 28mm Tudor ship
« on: 18 June 2017, 02:59:08 PM »
Well just finished one of my birthday presents. Made in Russia pre coloured kit. Really 16th century but I don't think the shape changed that much by the mid 17th? Figure is by 28mm TAG. One of their Tudor range.  got mine from.  http://russia-best.com/ have dealt with them twice.  Good service.

Lovely work  :-* Eureka produce 16th century sailors in their Portuguese range which would work well and would fit with TAG

Nice build!

How do you know which models on the site that fit 28mm?

I've got the cog as well. Didn't know they did this one. Looks brilliant.

I saw a post on the Cog someone had bought and they had a 28mm HYW Perry figure on the deck.  With the Galleon I just worked it out from the sizing.  As far as I know I would say would fit small 28mm figures.  Trying to find out about their buildings

Since I avctually do 16:th century the galleon will be perfect. How long did it take to assemble?

I am also thinking of a couple of caravels if the scale fits.

It took me half a day to assemble.  I took it slowly following the instructions which are very good.  They supply more than enough thread for the rigging.  I did glue a couple of pieces using pva as i felt they needed it.
I will post a link to a FB page that has some useful pictures from another person

After looking througn all different ships MDF, resin and the like, I still feel that the card board one looks best. And being pre painted will save me a lot of work I think
