The Wild Geese, A Tribute Game - Devon Wargames Group
« on: 25 June 2017, 07:51:47 AM »
One of two games played at this months meeting of the DWG was a tribute game to the late, great Sir Roger Moore recreating his role in one of the great series of British action movies produced in the late 70's, 'The Wild Geese'.

If you would like to see how the mission turned out and if the chaps managed to get President Limbani on to his waiting Dakota, then just follow the link to the club blog.

A great report and a great tribute. Obviously a very enjoyable game.

It was a tough job but Sir Roger felt that someone had to do it!   ;)

Thanks for your comments chaps, glad you enjoyed the read of our sincere tribute to a great actor and ambassador.
The rules used were Winter of 79.

Hi,
I should add that I didn't play the game but have found out more about the rules and where they are obtainable.

The rules are 'Living on the Front Line - Africa' available from Caliver Books

Hope that helps
