Nice! It's very cool to see those Copplestone figs in action.

Space 1889 (first time playing these rules): a scenario extrapolating what happened after the end of the movie The African Queen.  GM posited the British were out to take a German fort and had to cross a river and move through some Germans first.  Alas, for the British, we Germans held on for the victory and they never even crossed the river.  British either needed more forces or Germans needed fewer but a fun game - and a 16 year old young man played his first Historical Miniatures Game and sounds like he will be back for more.

First time in about 20 years I saw geo hex terrain in use!

Meanwhile, on Ascension Island...

The Royal Navy Air Service Police are attempting to get a foreign ambassador off the island and back to her home country, while the Paramilitary "Auxiliary Police" are in hot pursuit.

Will the Ambassador make it into the plane, or will she be kidnapped by the Auxiliary Police for their nefarious geopolitical plans? Full story under this elegant and finely crafted link:

Picketts Charge game.  Part of the second day of Shiloh with the fight in the Hornets Nest.

The burnt out trees towards the top of the picture is the location of the Hornets Nest.  It had burnt from the fighting on the previous day.

DevLAM '24 (this year held at Snapcase Hall) has just drawn to a close. This is the annual meeting of the three Gentlemen of Much-Piddling. There were three main games, over the week. A small sample here and some AARs may appear at some point.

Carnevale (run by Mad Lord Snapcase)

A mystery-solving game, set in inter-war Venice (run by Vagabond)

The Defence of the Borchester Road, VBCW (run by Doug ex-em4)

Needless to say, it was a joyous occasion, although we game on-line nearly every week, we usually only get to meet face-to-face on an annual basis. Thanks both, for some superb gaming and much hilarity, especially the last night after our dinner at my local pub, I broke out the Kentucky bourbon. It was sometime after midnight before we old gentlemen were escorted to our beds by Old Scrotum (the ancient and wrinkled Snapcase family retainer). Cheers, chaps!
