We played our first game of the new year today.  Callum (age 10) and Aiden (age 7) were the Army, uncle Al was the Zombies and I was umpire for out slightly tweaked Akulas Rules.

Op Sealion game of Bolt Action - German night raid on a radar site behind a sleepy seaside town.  Unfortunately for them the Home Guard and Local Defence Volunteers held up the German advance, despite assistance from the BUFs,  long enough for British Army reinforcement to arrive.

Tried out the skirmish rules,Song of Drums and Shakos,tonight.The wagon escort scenario.
Opposing forces below from my Boothill Minis collection,with a few Perry Carlist thrown in as proxy Tejanos
Rules were fun and after a few false starts,we should have read the rules on deploying in woods first,gave an enjoyable game.
Will definitely give these another try out
