On the AoS note though it's a good laid back game which you can knock out in a hour so it's worth a punt for those who are time poor and some disposable income (It's still GW so ain't the cheapest system to jump into but alot cheaper than other GW games).

Attack on a village scenario. Also the first appearance of Jamopower's minis? After a bit of confusion about participants and armies, we eventually ended up playing a basic 1-vs-1 battle with 2 commanders per side, one with some experience and one first-timer. It worked pretty well.

The highlight (or PITA) of the game was the unit of registered Cossacks that I deployed in the vanguard and managed to sneak into the ramshackle building. Being the closest (and often the only) target for the Swedish forces, they received a huge load of musket fire and no less than three infantry assaults. However, with several successful reorganising rolls, I think I managed to remove about seven points of damage from them during the battle, and they also passed all their morale tests despite being regularly outnumbered by 3:1. How's that for "taking one for the team"?

That heroic effort largely turned the result into a minor victory. I hope Jamo still agrees to play with me.

This time I'm not that apologetic about the terrain, because I managed to add some finishing touches to the buildings! However, I may apologise for constantly posting two pictures in a one-picture topic.

Not getting bored and yes, the terrain is better. Maybe a new thread with the whole set of photos from all the battles? Then you can go wild. Like an unregistered Cossack.

4 Tier one operators need to exfill with a HWT and link up with element from the German army. They just need to cover the food market where 3 angry mobs of civilians are roaming around spawning armed militiamen every turn.

Sorry, I haven't done an AAR. I just took some photos as both games went on 🙁
