Bentonville March 1865, yesterday's game with Fire & Fury:

1/72 Bolt Action, Darwin Tabletop Gamers Christmas party. Italian theatre, tank action. Vanilla rules, pretty much straight from the V.1 rulebook. Good fun game.

Little Fish the Younger (aged 7) received a copy of the 'Tanks: the Modern Age for Xmas so we assembled the miniatures and played a game today.

He took the US M1 against a couple of (stand in) T-62s for points parity and he got done big time as he received an unlucky crit that had his crew bailed out while his elder brother (aged 9) and I shot up his stationary vehicle.





Not  a bad learning game for a simple 'milkshakes and pretzels' sort of game.  Have to get them painting the miniatures over the holidays...

New Year's Eve game of Frostgrave. We played the scenario from issue 2 of the Spellcaster magazine so we could use my new Reaper Bones dragon. It also allowed us to recruit a new player to control the fire-breathing beastie.  A former WFBer who had not played a miniatures game for a long time, he seemed to enjoy it despite his dragon eventually falling under the combined fire of the two warbands. Now to encourage him to build his own warband...

I played a New Year's Eve game of Star Schlock, the sci-fi rules I've been working on. Lots of carnage, with the good guys sneaky in a win on the last die roll before midnight!
