Played a holiday game of X-wing with my son.

It was an enjoyable game, especially because my son (who won playing the Imperials) had obviously gotten a better grasp of the game dynamics and tactics (taking into a account where my fighters would be after movement instead of where they were before movement) since the last time we played.

I ran a Fistful of Lead game for four of my Yr.7 students today at lunchtime. The kids had a great time, with all the usual carnage that FFoL brings to the table...and yes, there were a few 'teachable moments', mostly just summed up as 'don't just run out in the open in the face of automatic rifle fire, what do you think's gonna happen !?!'...

We had the same experience in our Fistfull of Lead game: Men in Black vs the Fallers. Shooting and combat is quite unforgiving in FFoL. I really like the rules by the way. Especially because they can be used for nearly any setting in any period with any miniatures.
