First game of Mars: Code Aurora using Judge Dredd miniatures and old Wargames Factory (I think) as Citi-def. The Justice Department (Order) got a narrow victory over the Kleggs (Brutality). Good fun and a lot of good ideas to explore in this system.

Well, that’s a hell of a mat that can hold its own when used with those buildings and figures. Care to share what make it is?

Getting back to the game, although the scenery is so much better, there’s something about it that reminds me of Brigadier Young’s Charge! Games. I love it.

Unfortunately I can't recommend the company Doug, it has such a poor quality control and customer service record, I wouldn't want anyone to experience dealing with such a soddy outfit. I bought this mat a few years ago now, it was supposed to be 12ft by 5ft, it was neither, plus it was poorly printed in places, which I now need to cover up with terrain pieces. I subsequently had a massive amount of hassle trying to get the problem rectified, the bloke makes out you are the problem for raising an issue. Since posting about the issues on Twitter, I have become aware of numerous people who have experienced similar problems with this company.

My best advice, avoid Tiny Wargames The Battlemat Company like the plague.

There are much better quality mats available and I can guarantee the customer service is a hell of a lot better. Now I appreciate that some people may have better expereince of dealing with Tiny Wargames, but that should not detract from the signficant amount of people who have been treated very poorly by this company. Thanks for the heads-up. I’m sorry to say I’ve hear similar stories about that company. The mat just struck me as being particularly effective in your photos but one mustn’t lose sight of how much your buildings, miniatures and extra covering-up terrain pieces add to the effect.

I’ll continue to look at possibles from other sources.

Thanks

Doug
