Cape Wars - Xhosa Dawn. As a supply column approaches Neilson’s Drift, a contingent of Xhosa insurgents sweep down from the Amatola Mountain Range. Caught by surprise, the British rush to form a hasty defence. Will the plucky Brits be overrun or win the day for Queen Victoria.

Zombie RV rules...second outing with these for me and my girlfriend. Our band of four survivors did a bit better this time, but still weren't able to accomplish the scenario mission completely. Read the AAR on my Lead Legionaries blog (with LOTS more pics): http://leadlegionaries.blogspot.com/2024/07/zombie-rv-into-compound.html

Fistful of Lead game. Evil robots vs valiant Earth defenders.
My son brought a friend who never played a tabletop game before.
I must say Fistful of Lead is perfect for first-timers. My son's friend picked it up within 10 minutes and both had fun.
I kept the scenario simple: evil robots had set up a 3d robot printing device and could assign 1 or 2 robots to printing new ones (cumulative roll of 20). Valiant Earth defenders had to stop the robots.
I added a truck full of gas canisters which they both tried to blow up to take out crew members of the other side. :)

Thanks!  I use Cigar Box Battle mats.  You can put hills underneath the fleece mat, but for DBN it's important to know exactly where the upper edge of the hill is for line of sight/fire.

I've used a couple of their 6x4+ mats in this Grassland 2 design, and cut them down for smaller mats in various sizes.  Took the leftover material and glued it onto insulation foam to make the matching hills.  Then used a brown magic marker on the top of the slope to give a nice crisp line marking the top edge.
