Charlie ran a Fistful of Lead: Bigger Battles game at one of the local game stores last evening.  I was on the side of the Zanzibaris trying to 'break through' down the road.  That's one of my units down by the road, the furthest out - with a bit of shock on it.  Another unit I ran can be seen in the top far left.  Both of those units eventually got wiped out.  You might say our side got our butt's kicked - but had fun in the process. 

He put on a very nice visual game and perhaps the highlight was the rope suspension bridge above from Miniature Building Authority - as were a couple of tents - one in the background - and the hut on the right of the photo with cool interior; the tents really didn't measure up to the usual MBA standard. 

My musket armed unit did better and did quite a bit of damage to units approaching from our left rear. 

And the last act of the game was my leader, seen just to the right of the tent, telling our survivors we had urgent business back at the tribal council fires - and then turning and placing a terrible curse on our enemies, no doubt greatly souring their feelings of victory!   .

Games from this weekend at the FLGS, DBA 2.2+ on Saturday, The Silver Bayonet on Sunday.
 
Historical theme for DBA was Dawn of Civilisation, early Book 1.  A number of 1-on-1 games with a big battle at the end of double Early Egyptian with Nubian ally against double early Hyksos with Martu ally
 
Nothing fancy for TSB, just a throw down some scatter terrain 6-player demo game brawl with Revenants and some Vampires popping up all over.  Was quite fun and got folks reasonably up to speed on the rules.  We have a good starting quorum to get monthly games going.
 
I was using the Bennett Sisters & company.  The GM had brought those, but he can't make it regularly, so I had to order my own Regency Zombie Hunters from Caliver last night.

Zombie RV campaign gets under way as the road trippers head west! Six players, each controlling two survivors. Lots of fun, and a MUCH better job at cooperation among the players compared to their last debacle!
