Gaslands: Arena of Death
Four gangs took to the wasteland to scavenge a crashed ufo where they were ambushed by aliens? and one another. A lone Thunder Wolf monster truck basically wiped out the scientists of the Skyhawks Chemistry Defense League  by ramming through their van then burning up the bike in a fireball after exploding (monster truck crew had 5 grenades) when the Skyhawk?s bike shot it up to avenge the van crew.

It came down to the Red Devil and the Peachyville Prowlers, but the Devil was no match for their side mounted mini-guns.

The Powlers secured the zone and claimed the spoils.

I've always fancied playing Gaslands but have never had the chance! Maybe our club is a wee bit too historical (that is, despite Historical's being my main "bag")

My friend Keith (who claims he is on these boards, but I haven't noticed a post from him yet...  ), did an, "Oooh, shiney!" and darted off in a new direction. Thus, last night we played 1/72 scale Vietnam using Xenos Rampant! rules.



That's him, holding up the rule book. Hopefully, you will start seeing post from him soon. He is "that guy" in a each group who owns figures for just about every period you can imagine...!

Speaking of our group, we played Game 3 in our Nam '68 Tour of Duty campaign this Friday past.  28mm.  The Americans lost their first 2 in-game KIAs...they "won', but they claimed it didn't feel like it...

Interesting. Did y?all just play the XR ruleset straight up, no Xenos Abilites I assume?

What about XR made y?all think to adopt it to Vietnam? Did it work as expected?

Sister Monica exposes herself to the zombie hordes. Hummm maybe that should be 'reveals herself', no perhaps not, maybe just 'Attracts their attention'.

This has had the desired effect.


The 3:30 at Wincanton on the Flat. Sister Monica in the lead by a short habit, with the Nasty Zombie close in contention followed by the rest of the pack going at a fast gallop down the back straight. Will she lose them on the bend around the barn and pull out a lead behind the thatched house to finish the race the winner, or will they eat her first.
