Having made four main engine casings...



...I decided I needed some detail thingy to go on the top, an intake of some description would be cool. So I thought I would make one...and then three more.

The first one did not work as well as I hoped, but the second version was much better.



I cut the middle out of a display base and then made a load of turbine blades.



I am happy enough with the finished article and will make three more.

I still need four more old paint lids for rocket nozzles before these get finished.

I've had one of these for years and just never gotten around to doing what you've done. It is an awesome build. I now have traded it off and it sits in his basement an unfinished project. I too look forward to seeing the finished product!

Those external lift pods really add something.  They look like they belong there. Good work.

You've already done a smashing job, I its going to be awesome when it's finished.
Gonna have to keep an eye out for that transport, I'd love to try something similar in 6mm, I bet I could easily get 4 to 5 decks into that thing.
